Where in the World are Allison and Jonathan? Kean-Wenzhou - (Episode 7)

Good afternoon, everyone!  I wanted to share an email from one of my students.  This is her American name, so her anonymity will be maintained.  It gives an idea of the kind of work we are doing here and its impact on some of the students:

Dear Dr.:
I feel so happy to hear from you, which is out of my expectation.Well,I have made the decision that I will write you an email every day, which may be a little tough for me at first.Anyway, you don't have to write back if you don't want to,I just want to improve my ability to express myself.I'd be appreciated of this.
And I want to ask you a question:are you merely a teacher?   Aren't you also known as an excellent singer?  I heard our monitor said that you are an artist in a way the other day,and I watched you singing in the class today, the spiritual song, and I think it deserves the amazing name it gets .  Though the lines are easy and short,it just sounds so uplifting!   I've watched a film called HELP before, the heroic in the film participated in an activity in the church.  They sang songs together, and I was touched by their powerful and hopeful voices.  I like the way you sings.  It's a kind of  symbol of  African-American singers.  They use their bullies and let out the truthful and touching voice.  And  always change their intonation a little bit at the end of the line.  I like that,it gives me a feeling that the beautiful songs will last and never get to the end.
Well,I wish you had a good night and sleep tight, see you tomorrow.
Yours sincerely
Lotus
