Please find attached the KUAFF Nominating Petition for Officers for Local 6024, Kean University Adjunct Faculty Federation (KUAFF) 2019 Elections. If you are interested in running, please complete the form and return in a sealed envelope to the KUAFF Election Committee in the KUAFF Office, Townsend 214 (T-214) no later than 2/17/19.
There will be an election for the KUAFF Executive Board Members in Spring 2019 for the 2019-22 term beginning July 2019.

To be nominated, a candidate must submit the KUAFF Nominating Petition for Officers for Local 6024, Kean University Adjunct Faculty Federation (KUAFF) 2019 Elections to the Elections Committee for the office that is sought and for each candidate that is nominated, the petition must contain the name of the proposed candidate with a minimum of 5 names and signatures from KUAFF members in good standing supporting the nominee. The petition must be physically received in a sealed envelope in the KUAFF Office,Townsend 214 (T-214), by 2/17/19.
Pursuant to the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) - also known as the Landrum-Griffin Act, we are required by law to hold elections according to the conditions set forth in our Union Constitution and by-laws.The LMRDA grants certain rights to union members and protects their interests by promoting democratic procedures within labor organizations. The Act establishes a Bill of Rights for union members; reporting requirements for labor organizations, union officers and employees, employers, labor-relations consultants, and surety companies; standards for the regular election of union officers; and safeguards for protecting labor organization funds and assets.
