Local MOA Agreements

On, June 30, 2003, Kean University and the KUAFF  signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 9) which would establish minimum dates of notification to Adjunct Faculty of their appointments to teach.

On August 13, 2003, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 7) which would establish rates of compensation for Adjunct Faculty who attend meetings, trainings, or, orientations which are required.

On August 13, 2003, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 6) which provides for the regular (semi-annual) reporting of Class Sizes, and, for the University to agree to consult with the Union whenever a Class Caps is being set for any newly developed course.

On March 25, 2003, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 5), which would provide notification of pay dates, prior to the first designated pay period,  to each returning Adjunct Faculty Member, and to all newly hired Adjunct Faculty.

On March 25, 2003, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 4), which would provide for a listing of all "Adjunct Faculty" working within Departments, and, listing Adjunct Fauculty in the "University Catalog", if they taught for four consecutive semesters.

On April 26, 2002, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 2), which would re-instate all "Adjunct Faculty" who were re-classified as "Academic Specialists" and removed from the KUAFF Bargaining Unit.

On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 30), which would provide additional compensation to adjunct faculty who are given replacement courses in place of their original contracted assignment.  MOA # 30 becomes effective beginning January 22, 2009 until June 30, 2011.

On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, Kean University and the KUAFF signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA # 31), which would provide additional compensation for adjuncts whose current class course meets twice per week throughout the semester, and whose schedules will be changed to meet three days per week. In addition to that, those adjuncts teaching during the "Weekend College" hours" will also receive additional compensation.

MOA # 31 becomes effective beginning September 1, 2009, as this years university fiscal budget would not permit changes at this late date.
